Winter Weather and Other Notifications
In December, Charlottesville City Schools sent out a notice to all families about winter weather notifications. Beginning this year, all families will receive all weather-related announcements (including early morning phone calls). If you do not wish to receive these announcements, please change your settings in Powerschool. For directions on how to do this, click on this link. You will need your parent Powerschool login. If you do not have this information, please call our central office at 245-2943. In addition, Mrs. Kershner sends a weekly email on Thursday evening or Friday morning every week. If you are not receiving these emails and wish to receive them, please change your settings in Powerschool to indicate that you wish to receive general emails from school--before, during & after school. In order to make sure our records are accurate, we are sending home an updated early release form for you to let us know how your child will get home should we dismiss school early for any reason. Please return this form to school as soon as possible. Mrs. Paige Out
Just after Thanksgiving, Mrs. Paige underwent planned surgery. She is doing well and misses her Venable family! She is planning to return to Venable at the end of January or beginning of February. Mr. Malcolm Jarrell, retired Venable principal, is covering for Mrs. Paige while she is out. Mr. Jarrell served in this capacity with us two years ago, and we're very happy to have him back helping us out. Want to Inspire Your Child's Love of Reading?
